I didn’t know that I wasn’t supposed to . . .
. . . laugh when the world was crying.
. . . smile when it all came crashing down.
. . . dance away my sorrows.
. . . lift myself up off the ground.
. . . sail beyond my troubles.
. . . dance and twirl under the sun.
. . . shoot stars up to the heavens.
. . . fall eager into freedoms arms.
What could you accomplish?
Or better yet what would our kids?
If one day we all shouted proudly
I didn’t know I wasn’t supposed to . . . so I did.
